Principal's Corner

Welcome to Grafenwoehr Elementary School (GES), and welcome to our incredible Grizzly family!

It is my pleasure to welcome you to a school community that serves nearly 400 students in grades PreK through 5 and is committed to providing a world-class educational experience for every child.

At GES, we are committed to helping every student succeed. Our rigorous curriculum, innovative learning opportunities, and comprehensive support systems ensure that students are challenged, encouraged, and empowered to reach their full potential. Beyond the classroom, students have opportunities to connect with the larger community, develop leadership skills, and become responsible, caring citizens.

One of the greatest strengths of our school is the partnership we share with our families. We know that student success is built through meaningful collaboration between home and school. Our active and supportive PTSA plays a vital role in enriching the student experience, strengthening connections among families, and supporting school initiatives throughout the year. We also encourage participation in our School Advisory Committee (SAC) and welcome volunteers from across our community. Whether you are a new family or a returning one, you are an important part of the Grizzly Team.

GES is proud to be part of the USAG Bavaria community and to partner with organizations such as the 589th Iron Caissons in supporting our students. Together, we create opportunities that make learning meaningful and help foster a strong sense of belonging for every child.

As a parent of three children and a lifelong educator, I firmly believe that successful schools are built on strong relationships, mutual trust, and a shared commitment to students. My goal is to ensure that every child who walks through our doors feels valued, supported, challenged, and inspired each day.

Please stay connected through our Facebook page, school website, and weekly newsletter, The Grizzly Growler, for the latest news and events. I look forward to getting to know each of you and working together to continue the tradition of excellence that makes Grafenwoehr Elementary School such a wonderful place to learn and grow.

Welcome to Grafenwoehr Elementary School. Welcome to the Grizzly family. Together, we'll continue to prove that it truly is Better in Bavaria!
